Inbox/Outbox/Sentbox

Just a quick question about the PM function - what is the difference between the Sentbox and the Outbox?

I would have assumed that Sentbox has messages that were actually sent and the Outbox has ones that were queued for sending but never got sent. But I just opened my Outbox and there's a handful of pessages from yonks ago that are still there. Does that mean they never got sent? If so, why not? Why do some get sent and not others?

The outbox ones have also been "sent" as such, in that they're not in any sort of queue - it's just that the recipient has't been asred opening them.

One example is where I sent a PM to a sockpuppet user saying "I'm about to ban you - both!" and they never came back to read it. Wink
