Strathfield Stinks (pics) 2 new ones

Hey all i just spent all arvo/evening doing a 20m recon of the UP main just on the City side of the road bridge at Strathfield due to drainage/ sewerage problems leaking in from the street above the track hence the title.
So here are todays worksite pics. PS i do love my Clyde built loco's.

Ah, so that's the train! ssrkid told me about it yesterday with its nice mix of old spoil wagons, ballast hoppers, and side dumpers.

I'd say its 7SA8 due to the fact its heading towards Strathfield station on the suburban line

Caves express was sighted on the UP local last night and on the Down suburban? at Auburn tonight as we finished Strathfield and got shifted to Auburn area this arvo to help out there.

Ok we got shanghied to behind the netball courts at Auburn from our site at Strathfield late this arvo to help out.
While working there i only managed to get these two pics...and was mega peed off due to not being able to stop and get pics of the following.
4220?/42105 on a DOWN QRN job both interail.
82/G/G UP coal.
82/GL109/GL105 DOWN COAL
G534/X UP QRN job
220? UP container.
Bloody work it interferes with gunzeling. Cool

As we inspected the site on Saturday morning a few jokes about a "Bog Hole" taking new meaning were thrown about, and dont forget the "paperwork". Very Happy

Nice photos in the end. Interesting shot of 8101. Cheers for the the weekly update of shots in times of trackwork (probably the only thing I like about it. Buses from Ashfield = 50 mins to Central pffft...I want the trains to come back Sad
