Hi there, please forgive me for any incorrectness here as I am new to this site and this is my first post. I am not actually a train enthusiast, but my almost 3 year old son is and I am trying to track down a copy of A Steam Train Passes on DVD for him. I have borrowed it (on DVD) from the library here in Noarlunga SA twice so far, but he wants his own copy. (I have tried copying the library DVD but for some reason it doesn't work). Can anybody help? Also, any help with other good train docos would be good. He is especially interested in steam trains and freight trains at this point in time.
Thanks for any help you can give
Linda and wannabe train engineer Alex

Hello and welcome to Railpage Australia™!
I've got a few suggestions for you in order to hunt down this DVD:
1/ Visit http://www.arhsnsw.com.au . I just went to the online shop section and did a search, and it came up with what you were looking for.
2/ Try getting in touch with your Library and see if they have a record of where they got it.
3/ Contact the National Rail Museum (Port Adelaide). They may have it in their bookshop too. (www.natrailmuseum.org.au .
I hope you find it.

It's probably copy-protected, so once you've bought the DVD and need to make a backup for Alex to watch (keeping the original in a safe place), try something like DVDFab.

Thanks Simon - I have ordered the DVD from the site you found for me (I just couldn't find a copy anywhere using Google). Thanks to you aswell Station Master - I'll do a copy as you suggested and keep the original in a safe place. Alex is into loading DVDs into the player himself so they all end up scratched and finger marked.

Enjoy the DVD.
And, yes; it really is an old railway habit to cook breakfast on the shovel.
Cynic - a man who smells flowers and immediately looks for the funeral.
