User-pay air travel to become the norm
Fuel costs are forcing up prices
Fees for baggage checking, booking
Just like in Europe we will be charged fees on our luggage. $1 airfares will arrive here soon plus all the extras. While working out our Europe Holiday we priced low cost carriers that start at 1 Euro and on all occasions they work out the most expensive. So we changed the cities and airlines and saved money and still seen everything we wanted. By buying an airfare that included 20 kgs of luggage we were miles ahead.

I'm surprised that they haven't added a passenger weight component, citing increasing fuel prices as the reason. Mind you, if they did, it'd turn the check-in area into some nightmarish scene from The Biggest Loser.
