Hi all,
I believe that the first of these two questions has been posed before regarding the deletion of posts in locked threads, but I am currently a novice as far as Railpage Australia™ is concerned. So, therefore this first query might seem somewhat inconvenient.
I have posted a wanted add in the Model Railways forum, but have since made some revisions, so I was forced to repost it. Could someone please briefly explain the process of deleting posts?
Also, when uploading this site, it seems to take a considerable amount of time, which applies to when it has been carrying this out for in excess of 2-3 minutes. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Regards,

Sometimes you can go to a post an press:

post --> delete

OR

Press Report This Post in the upper-right hand corner to get the moderators/administrators to delete it for you.

Note: You have to provide an explanation why you want it deleted.

Also, Railpage Australia™ is always slow because of code/server problems...

An easier way (that doesn't trouble the mods, and also doesn't make you have to wait for them) is to simply use the edit function.

Deletion has limits such as not being able to delete after other posts have been made, etc. But editing has no such limits. Just erase what you've written and add in its place a little note like:

"Content deleted because it is no longer relevant" or whatever.

That's what I usually do. Of course, don't ever do this to weasel out of something, but it's fine to do it if there is a legitimate reason.

Humphrey! We're leaving!
