Hi
I know there are threads asking a similar question to this. But i thought i would start a new thread on this.
I just wanted to get an idea on what type of graphics cards everyone is running? and how that graphic card runs with trainz.
At the moment i am using an Intel 950 integrated graphics card in my laptop this is only 64mb and yes off course it struggles. But it still seems to run ok without to much lag. I guess it also helps that i have a dual core processor.
Anyway as i have mentioned in other threads i will be upgrading my laptop in the next few weeks.
I am looking at getting a Toshiba Satellite A300/600 this has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 (512MB discrete video
memory and upto 1279MB shared video memory.
Which i am hoping will be more than enough to run trainz well and be able to have a layout with a lot of scenery.

My PC is a:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4400 @ 2.00GHz
2.93 GB of memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX graphics card, 512mb dedicated, 1759mb total
So yeah Trainz runs fine on my PC
Cheers

So i ended up buying my new laptop which has a GeForce9600m GT 512mb over 1700mb shared memory.
I couldnt be more happy with it. The game runs smooth on the highest detail level and with lots of scenary.
