It's up to the committee of the SRHC to release any information on the charter, unfortunately as it stands at the moment, nothing can be released just yet, just keep your eye on the website as this will be the only place to get information.

It's a private charter.
No information can or will be given due to privacy laws. Information would only be given if the individual or group chartering the train choose to disclose such information.

Lack of TPWS from memory?
N468 is just probably there cause it's all painted up nice.

Not fitted with TPWS & not approved as lead unit by the RTBU LD at this stage. other approved lead locos owned- allocated to SRHC are on hire to EL Z etc, and .. non TPWS equipment not permitted to run at 115 KPH on lines fitted with TPWS, Scheduling of heritage trains at speeds lower than 115KPH results in either additional staffing requirements for Double Line Block sections, and long delays at crossing loops, these days you just can't put another train in a section pottering along at 80 KPH where scheduled V/Line services are running at 130 & 160 KPH with scheduled crosses, based on 160 KPH running.
The Heritage Groups are unfortunately facing an uphill battle to have this waiverered and are undoubtable devoting much time and manpower to trying to overcome these obstacles, valuable volunteer time that could definately be more effectively utilised on restoration activities.
Hopefully the TPWS Issue and associated problems with pathways and track access can be effectively resolved within the next twelve months., but how long is a piece of string??

Whats the "FASE RAIL"?
Abolishing TPWS would be the more logical step.

Better idea, DoI funds the fitting of TPWS on the heritage locos it owns. I hate seeing N classes haul heritage trains whilst red tape and crud stop perfectly good locos from operating such trains as tomorrows.
