These were 2208 (off line)/3102/3104/2204 (off line) ABAB.

I have noticed when a 22class is in the consist it is generally leading. Do drivers prefer these cabs to the 31 class (L class)?

Generally I'll lead a 22 (no1 end) over a 31 - especially on a cold night (less draughty than the 31s).

If I think a better photo can be taken by you lot by having a 31 on the front, I'll do that too.

It also depends which 31s we're talking about. 06 and 09 have superior cabs to the rest, and L265 is better than them again!

Most of the time it comes down to operational requirements - whatever is easiest, most comfortable and what will make less/easier shunting at the other end of the trip.

Cheers

Close, but one of your distinguished colleagues must have baulked at driving while looking down the side of an orange and black house. The 31 was short end to the fore whilst leading.

Still good, but. Wink
