Consist: Suitable Loco, SWT, FS, RBS, FS. = 111 metres, 185 tonnes

Anyone got any more info on this trip, who's charter, what's likely to be on the front etc? the inclusion of the SWT suggests a steamer (unless it's just being moved), I assume the 32 would have no problems with 185 tonnes? Also interesting that there is no return to Cowra on the TAA - are they hanging around for a while?

I am SO moving to Victoria Street!!

Railcorp HOT No5 shows "Diesel loco and cars" for these runs although ARTC's HOT shows "steam loco and cars"

STN will be 1968

Cowra - Sydney Terminal-Eveleigh
Eveleigh- Sydney Terminal - Moss Vale & Return

Time will tell.

Embarassed The SS run number would indicate a Steam loco.

This would tell me it is not running with passengers either.

I suspect it is a typo Wink

EDIT 1700 6/8/08: On further consideration I see only 3 cars, no guards accommodation included = WB working Exclamation , but on the Sunday both SS81 and SS82 have a tabled pick up and set down ('a') stop at Bowral Confused Exclamation

Running empty Bowral to MV and return, most likely. Suspect the charter may be for either THE BAGGY GREEN, THE PRIDE, PASSION AND HISTORY OF AUSTRALIA'S SPORTING ICON or a Christmas in Winter luncheon.

If you look at the composition you will see that all 3 pass cars can operate as a "clayton's guard's van" because they have an internal handbrake (and air tap?). The regs were that a compartment must be reserved for the Guard's use.

So the "a" is a typo in that scenario. SS81 should be a "d" stop and SS82 an "u" stop.
