No probs mate. Great photos too! Was a good day out, even though the weather didn't wanna play ball.
I agree that it is definately worth a visit to the roundhouse. There is plenty of interesting things to see and the tour guides there are extremely friendly, knowledgable and informative.

Here are some of my photos from the day, I will put more photos up from the roundhouse soon.

G535 at Menangle 6/8/08
G535 with 3MS9 making a late dash through Menangle.

600 Class trio! 6/8/08
Triple 600's with a sleeper train.

I only made to the photospot above within seconds of this train passing through, I had to quickly try set the dials on the camera but ended up bluring the shot!

What a cool place, I would love to visit there one day. Not much you could do with a spare U boat in Goulburn though except maybe loco haul them on a bush tour.

Or just sit in the cab making train noises and honking the horn, perhaps?

I was wondering that myself - from all reports, they are happy to give guided tours, and happy for people to take photos around the place. Obviously if that's not a friendly heritage environment, I dunno what more you could want.

I'm planning a day trip down there myself, when the weather is warmer and the days are longer!

I visited the Roundhouse and had a tour with a member yesterday (Thursday).

It's a Great Museum Well Done Very Happy

The tour guide was welcome and friendly, a typical Aussie bloke.
When I began to take photos he always went to the side and out of the frame. Now that is courtesy.

Adding to that, there have been multiple threads by different members over the past 12 months.

Soooo NSWRTM123..... I'm guessing we'll see a retraction soon? Razz

Agreed!
Try going to the local cinema there in summer (Because they have a habit of racking down the temp of the aircon!). Worse still, try leaving the cinema after a late night movie and walking to your car across the road!

Those are my wonderful experiences of freezing in the Lilac City!

It was minus 6 degrees in Canberra last night and about the same in Goulburn. It was about 7 degrees at lunchtime, but quite nice in the sunshine.

Goulburn has an interesting collection but not that easy to photograph.
