I hear that grain trains will soon be running on the Moura line to load at Moura for the first time in a few years. Apparently they were to start a week or so back but had to be delayed due to loco shortages.
It seems these loco shortages are quite common. QR are sending "surplus" locos interstate and then have to delay/cancel their own services. Where's the sense in that?
It appears there is not much grain expected out of Koorngoo (near Jambin on the old Bilo to Rocky line) again this year. There is talk of storing "surplus" VAZ wagons there. Don't know how there can be surplus coal wagons.
