There were 101 sightings for this week, which is three sightings more than last week, making a total of 3364* sightings for this year to date. (* most of the sightings missing for the first week of 2008). On day 236 last year we had seen 3570 sightings.
We have seen no sighting on the B/G again this week.
On the S/G we have seen 18 sightings of DL class locos and only six sightings of AN class locos. We have seen eight sightings of the XRB slave units and six of them were seen on the Patrick's trains. And we saw four sightings of BL class locos. On the SCT trains we have seen 22 sightings of the new SCT class locos. On the P & O trains we have seen 16 EL class, eight VL class and six SCT G class loco sightings.
This week we have seen eleven grain train movements on the S/G. We have seen five El Zorro trains; On Sunday on the up we saw G5XX(S) and 18 hoppers. On Monday another up grain came in with EL54+EL52+C501(VR) and 40 hoppers, this train went to the Nth Geelong grain loop then returned to Gheringhap so the locos could run around the train before it headed off on the up to Melbourne. And on Saturday on the down we saw G532(S)+GM36(CR)+C501(VR) with 35 hoppers. We saw two PN grain trains, On Tuesday on the down we saw XR555(P)+XR559(PN)+G528+8169 with 55 hoppers. And on the up on Wednesday we saw G528+8169 with 50 hoppers. And we have seen four GWA grain trains; on Tuesday on the up we saw CLP8+GM37+CLP17+2210+2212 with 40 hoppers. On Thursday this train returned on the down with 2212+GM37+CLP8 and 40 hoppers. And on Friday on the up to Nth Geelong we saw CLP17+2214+2210 with 40 hoppers, returning on the down the same day.
On Sunday's up PM5 we saw NR32 for the first time in it's new PN livery, NR36(PN)+NR32*(PN). Monday's up PM9 came in with, SCT010*+SCT014*+SCT001*+SCT011*+SCT012*. And MA6 went out with, EL56+EL55+VL357+G521*(S).
