i would like to know how the locomotive technology has advanced in australia for train drivers. e.g. computers, electronics, etc.

Like the changes that have happened and happening, e.g. how the cab controls have canged in newer locomotives
e.g. From say a VR S class (deisel) to a V/line N class and a NR/SCT class

it is for a school project so any info will help.
Pics of the cabs would help also
