September 17: Greg and I had an early start on the Main South. The weather was typically bad but that didnt get in the way of a good day. Here are some of the shots from the day.

Menangle Park

G516 at Menangle Park 17/9/08
Obviously the highlight of the morning, G516, CLP13, CLF1, X54 & CLF7 leading 3MB7 north.

4
Late running XPT heading fof Syd Terminal.

Burradoo

8184 at Burradoo 17/9/08
8184 freshly painted Speeds up the grade with a cement train.

Yanderra

8209 at Yanderra 17/9/08
8209 with a loaded coal train from Tahmoor proceeds slowly around the bend under caution. Signals in the area are shutdown and flagmen have posession of the track.

NR89 at Yanderra 17/9/08
Grotty NR's with a superfreighter approach the site of where Yanderra station once existed.

Thanks for looking, more in my flickr gallery.
Cheers.

That is one of the worst spots when working the Tahmoor there is a grease pot just before the over bridge and the bogies always bucks on it and wheel slip, add some light mist, its the hardest 2 hours to stay awake. 8209 is now working with two G's on a reduced rake went out last night on CA63 return CA64, which all going well will be my return Saturday morning x Clarence at 09.00,Working CB95 tonight 17.00 on camp LTY.

To both of you, nice shots. I particularly like the different angles we get of the 82's and the NR's.

All in all, wonderful and keep up the good work fellas.

Regards

42101, I like your first one, that's the best picture I have seen on RP of one of the radio sites I worked on when with Freightrail. I thought that old hwy bridge would be a good photo spot but never had time to wait for a train back then.
