Frankston line woes continue.
Delays due to a disruption at Highett during or just after the am peak today.
And sometime after 1pm the line was suspended between Mordialloc and Frankston due to a person hit by a train.
These recent troubles have not been the first time that system disruptions have followed the government
skiting about improved reliability a few days prior.

While there have been period of sustained deterioration (2003 - 2011) and improvement (a few years after 2011)
in train reliability, these need time to assess their significance. It's more likely that patterns are reverting to a mean.
Boasting about improved reliability, as the government has foolishly done, is risky business since it's quite likely that (at best)
numbers will deteriorate slightly to be nearer the mean, or (at worst) deteriorate greatly to produce a poor result.
