    Not Rosedale.

    The photo was taken from the top of the silos about 1945.

    The silos are still in use, but all of the railway buildings in the photo have since been demolished.

    This silo is of the "Williamstown" type and now has two steel bins on its southern side.

    All quiet for a week  and the trail has gone cold, so I will give it up....its from the top of the Silos at St James, about 1945, looking south. The passing loop has gone now, as has the stock siding which was to the right of the front of the train (beyond the loop), as well as all the rail related buildings.

    The line has of course since been converted to SG, and the grain loop at St James was also converted.

    It's Geelong all right.
    The photo was taken the balcony on the fifth floor of the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre. (also known as The Dome)
