Interesting to note that Auscision are claiming production of these wagons is slated for late this year with delivery in early 2021. I do wonder what crystal ball that is based upon. I'll be getting some of these but certainly will not be putting any money down until we see evidence that production of model trains has seriously re-commenced in China - ie delivery into Australia of currently delayed product.

Well that's a surprise

I wonder if this spells the end of the traditional last minute warning for early bird prices?

Probably academic considering the current economic climate

Consulation could be that new releases may not sell out before the next 20% off promotion is launched

You mean the one posted on 19th Jan: "Auscision HO Scale QHBH Coal Hoppers will ship out of China in February.
Pre-order pricing will finish on the 15th of February and unfortunately due to price increases in China the after delivery price will now be $300.00 per 4 car pack.
Get your orders in before the 15th of Feb to save $80.00 per pack. Order forms can be downloaded at the below link."

Looks like I got my Bat Signals mixed up Poath

Glad I missed it in hindsight, stimulus packages don't seem to extend into this pursuit

re-runs with new liveries. http://www.auscisionmodels.com.au/E%20Passenger%20Car%20Page.htm , facebook post hints at modified/additional tooling in the future for even more variety.

It is a bit of a problem to have all these Overland cars and car sets but with no sleeping cars...

Where in anything that Auscision has said does it say these carriages are to released "next"? The FB post and the website say these are an early 2021 release. The 600 Class are currently shown as "late 2020".

This is by no means definitive, but in visits to Victoria from 1963 onward I never saw a CE van that wasn't blue.
There were a lot of red CWs that looked enough like CEs that I had to check....

Peter

Correction....
The Joint Stock CE vans were red and presumably remained so until 1970 or so when they were replaced by the CO vans.

M636C thanks for your reply.

Actually, after my initial reply and upon looking at Mark Bau’s Victorianrailways.net, the bottom of the CE van page has a letter from 1965 that mandated all CE’s (excluding the 6 joint stock ones) at next repaint be done in blue/yellow.

This explains why.
