This takes water from an irrigation channel and diverts it under the Edward River for use in areas west of the town. (My compliments to duttonbay who, I believe, picked the Chaffey pumps at Redcliffs as the infrastructure in question).
Finally, the annual event is, of course, the Ute Muster.

With absoutely no confidence i'm going to guess Platina. One source indicates it was called Evans Bros. Siding for a short time, although another suggests Evans Bros. Siding, later White Rock Lime Siding were not at precisely the same location. The major traffic was, I believe, copper.
