The ball's still rolling because it's not Tocumwal.

(Incidentally, if a major American supermarket chain were to establish a store in that town, would it be a Tocum-Walmart?  Never mind!)

Hamilton?

Not: Tocumwal, Hamilton.

This location is open but with no regular passenger service.

It is on the banks of a river.

I don't know whether Yelta would quality; but the end of track appears, on a map, to be about the same distance from the banks of the Murray as the as it is from up end of the yard.

Might I linger longer in Yarrawonga?

You may linger in Yarrawonga (a lovely spot), but you won't be in the place I have in mind.

Mildura? Which at least is close to Stefano Di Pieri's marvellous eatery.

And may not re-ignite the Vinelander / Don Dunstan spat.

Deniliquin.

Deniliquin is the answer.

It is open for rice trains but has no passenger service.

It sits beside the Edward River.

The irrigation infrastructure is about 5 km south-east of the Town centre and is the Lawson Syphon. This takes water from an irrigation channel and diverts it under the Edward River for use in areas west of the town. (My compliments to duttonbay who, I believe, picked the Chaffey pumps at Redcliffs as the infrastructure in question).

Finally, the annual event is, of course, the Ute Muster.

Djebel; take it away.

Whoops Embarassed!  Sorry people, I missed this.

A closed station on a closed line.  I was once a terminus.

Dart at a map - I'll take my pick with Picola.

I’ll try Triholm!

I'll try Huon.  It was originally known as Huon Lane (before being hewn back to Huon) and was a terminus from September 1889 to July 1890.

What about Poomboon (later known less imaginatively as Stony Crossing)?

A closed station on a closed line.  I was once a terminus.

Both of my names relate to goods that were shipped from me, although I am arguably known best as the loading point for a third product which has no relationship with either of my names.

I'm running out of options here.  But, as a shot in the dark, I'm wondering if it was Rocklyn.

Both of my names relate to goods that were shipped from me, although I am arguably known best as the loading point for a third product which has no relationship with either of my names.

When the aforementioned third industry ceased production, it resulted not only in my closure, but the closure of the final section of line leading to this location, although most of the line stayed open for a few more years.

With absoutely no confidence i'm going to guess Platina.  One source indicates it was called Evans Bros. Siding for a short time, although another suggests Evans Bros. Siding, later White Rock Lime Siding were not at precisely the same location.  The major traffic was, I believe, copper.
