Both.

Each railcar has a cleaning regime, underfloor and roof cleans are cycled through and done periodically.

Pantographs are visually inspected, serviced, and replaced, as per the services on the cars A  B  C services, pit inspections,  etc etc

Driving on the Graham Farmer freeway a week ago i saw a 4 car A set heading towards Perth, the first set had a nice clean panagraph the other set was dirty as

Driving on the Graham Farmer freeway a week ago i saw a 4 car A set heading towards Perth, the first set had a nice clean panagraph the other set was dirty as
"Australind"
that would have been 16 or 47 they've been replaced they were involved in that incident on the Joondalup line awhile back, i've seen B sets with new pantographs so I think it's safe to say that the whole fleet get their pantographs replaced even now & then.

ah ok I didnt see what the numbers were but it was ether cleaned or a new one. Wont stay like that for longer

Unfortunately it won't they get dirty real easy which is true 47s is already sporting dirt.
