What about Werribee?http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-06/frankston-line-funding-flagged-in-budget/4671142?section=vic
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-06/frankston-line-funding-flagged-in-budget/4671142?section=vicWhat do signalling upgrades to allow XTrapolis trains to run on the Frankston line have to do with Hitachi trains?
They will soon run on the Frankston line after signalling upgrades.
Since Frankston services tend to form Werribee, I would say that line would follow as well

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-06/frankston-line-funding-flagged-in-budget/4671142?section=vicIts always bothered me that Werribee station has a small little food kiosk that has a poster of an X'trapolis train heading towards Werribee but now with the signal upgrades for X'trapolis trains on the Bayside lines it shouldn't bother me.

Hitachi trains should run only as and when required to avoid the cancellation of a service if no other set is available. Only three trains remain available for service and the best chance of finding one is to wait at Flinders Street in the mid afternoon as the peak builds up.
Going to be at Flinders st station on friday at around 5:00-5:30 should I be looking forward to getting on one since its peak hour and they mostly run on peak hour?A decent chance, I'd broaden your time range a bit though... There'll be a man on the Spencer St end of platforms 4/5 with a clipboard who will know more than most about where they are and when they should be arriving back at Flinders St...

They run everywhere, and can run at any time including weekends. I've taken one to Belgrave and Sunbury recently...

They are just paid to look helpful, they are nothing of the sort. Are you suggesting that they are not helpful to enthusiasts due to their lack of specific train information, or that they are not helpful to customers? As a frequent visitor to Melbourne who has no idea where anything is, I would be interested to know which.
Don't even bother. They can't tell you anything. Their resources are the same timetable that you use. And they can't even memorise it either.I spoke to that man and he told me there was an Hitachi on shunt, then an Hitachi doing a Ringwood service, he helped a lot and I got on the Ringwood service.
