I got to the next stage for Metro Authorised Officers and I have to do an online test which is called Initial Test Pack - Train Driver - Cognitive Ability and Safety?...This is weird as I'm not applying for a train driver job
Can anybody give me any tips and advice for the whole recruitment process for Metro Authorised Officers?

Thanks all

Did you previously apply to be a Train Driver?

As they have only just changed over to a new company for testing (one test) when they started the Train Driver recruitment, I suspect that the Cognitive Ability and Safety Test was given that name as that is what its original use was for? I am not sure, but I applied for both - thought I would suss out my options and it came up the same for me too.

The Cognitive Ability and Safety test is a pretty standard test used for a variety of positions - Good luck Smile

Sounds right.  Do the test and await the result.  If they suggest you're in line for a driving position then you can correct them - if they put you forward for AO then all's well.

The recruitment, assessment and training is pretty rigorous.  Even once you're in there's a lot of learning to do before you're allowed out on the job.
