    John, your browser is/was caching the outage page, clearing your cache by pressing [CTRL-F5] should get you past the outage message more often than not.

    Graham, thanks for the suggestion.  Yes that worked once.  Didn't work another time.

    I wonder why the browser (Chrome) caches the error message.  Is it too much like a normal page?  This is the only site that an error message gets cached.  Duh!  Just realized the reason.  It is the only site I regularly get error messages.

    Location: At the back of the train, quitely doing exactly what you'd expect.
    News articles on mobile site: Where the topic and username is supposed to be shown, an undefined index error message is shown instead.

    Railcam images are not loading. The new camera 2 at Albion will not show the latest image. Only way to see images is to select gallery.

    The issue with no railcam images across all cameras just started this morning with an API error message.

    No. Only registered users can access railcams, and what you're proposing would open them up to anyone.

    I have seen on other forums where pics embedded in posts are only visible to logged on users even though the posts themselves are visible when not logged on. No idea how hard this would be to implement however!

    Anything is possible; it just depends on my time and what impact it may have on site performance.

    At this stage, both of the above are putting the kybosh on such a feature.

    My usual avatar/account hasn't been working for over a month (don_dunstan). Every time I try to log in with the correct user-name and password I get the following error message:

    Fatal error: Cannot unset string offsets in /srv/Railpage.com.au/www/public_html/vendor/Railpage/railpagecore/lib/Users/User.php on line 3399

    Because I couldn't get into Railpage I couldn't find out how to fix the issue - until today when I decided to create another account and see if that got around the error message (it does).

    Suggestions to fix my usual account?

    Not been online for a few weeks due to other commitments and waiting for the new servers because the site is so slow.  Logged back in today to read about all the new hardware being commissioned this week and I also now notice the same issue above.

    A side effect of the long delayed server upgrades + aggressive content caching. Waiting on @bevans to get the new gear racked, which gives us a new production VM, which enables me to push the updated frontend code out, which will fix this issue.

    When RP links to an external site, such as UN Maps, it can be fussy about spaces before and after the name of the link; not too many and not too few. Below, I will try to replicate this problem. Links that work are coloured blue, while links that do not work are black:

    * Mozambiq2: http://www.un.org/Depts/Cartographic/map/profile/mozambiq.pdf

    In the above links 2 & 3, I changed "zambia" to "mozambiq" (sic), but all three links still refer to the Zambia UN Map and not the Mozqmbique map. Strange.

    I will try again, typing rather than cutting and pasting or editing, with map 4:
    * Mozambiq4: http://www.un.org/Depts/Cartographic/map/profile/mozambiq.pdf
    This link correctly finds the Mozambique map.

    Later, I powered down and rebooted the PC; Mozambiq 2&3 still access the wrong Zambia map. Strange. Refreshing with Control-F5 didn't help either.

    Look at the URLs, you have only changed the text, NOT the URLs. (I had to change the square brackets to curly ones, putting inside Code tags did not work)

    The use of {code}{/code} tags doesn't prevent the tags from being executed.

    To Michael, Michelle and the other managers,

    Can you please have an update on when your new capacity will be increased?

    The site is almost impossible to access for most of the day now. Railcam images take a long time to load if at all and the site needs to be upgraded.  The Albion works on the new cameras are unbelievably good.  Just can't get enough of them.

    Not complaining just being realistic.

    Can you provide more information. If i cannot be done then fine just tell us.
