Is anyone aware of what day/time the service will run? I would love to get out and take some photographs!
Local media are reporting that ESPEE and a local scrap metal recycler have started running weekly freight trains from Canberra to Port Botany. Great to see some new traffic on the line. Hopefully this proves to be viable and encourages more local businesses to transport goods by rail! The train that left Canberra on Friday spent the weekend in Goulburn and passed through Moss Vale today at 1315

The train that left Canberra on Friday spent the weekend in Goulburn and passed through Moss Vale today at 1315I am surprised to see that there is sufficient scrap around Canberra to justify train loads of it. Any idea as to the actual source. There are plenty of old bomb cars in the ACT but they seem to be driven around as some badge of honor. My son is a Dipo but loves his crappy old Pug. Nearly cried when he had to pass it on when he was posted overseas.
