Site Access almost impossible

    The site is really delivering fast content today. It is very fast to load as are the graphics.  Improvements to loading of railcam images which are a little slower than thew rest of the site will improve if @bevans can provide access to the DAMS.

    I do notice the site hanging sometimes on the api.railpage.com.au section.

    Site is still really fast and highly useable.

    I binned a heap of never-activated users/spammers.

    I also fixed how guests are calculated Smile

    Users are valuable.  Can't Railpage actually send a follow-up email to those users asking them to try and activate?

    Unactivated accounts are supposed to be deleted 30 days after creation, and are not valuable. This is standard across the internet, and used to happen on Railpage before 2011. Evidently at some point in 2011 the scheduled task was dropped.

    I think it has been a fortnight since the changing of the site to the new systems.  

    When accessing the site it is very very quick and very slick.  This change has been very much for the better and I hope those people who were frustrated with the old systems, (and I am one of them) report good access.

    It is the best I have experienced since being on Railpage.
