This is pretty huge news for the 'Go.
It would certainly appear to firm the odds for Bendigo as the second pilot academy location, which is still unannounced.
But a look at the Qantas website shows things differently. Using 16-18 April as an example :That is the same basic pattern they run for lots of regional flights. Its a timetable that works for pax. Also, cheaper to lay over an aircraft regionally than at a capital airport.
SYD-BXG (Bendigo) 17:25-19:25 - and BXG-SYD 09:10-11:00 - so the A/C sits on the ground overnight it seems.
Dash 8 is the Aircraft
Cheapest ticket is $258 return

The only major bank unscathed by the Royal Commission IIRC. ?I don't know Bendigo enough to know the big businesses there. Who is big in finance there?Starts with Bendigo and ends with Bank!
Australia's 5th biggest bank if you believe the TV ads doing the rounds at the moment.
