I remember a few year's back I asked this same question, I did get the help I needed and now it's time for me to share my advice Smile

To share images on Railpage, you will need to create an account on 3rd party image hosting websites for example I use ImgBB see here https://imgbb.com/ the you see the "Insert an image" icon at the top of the reply box it looks like a "photo with a blue background" and a green + symbol click this and add your image link from the image hosting website and click "Preview" button before you click on the "Submit" button to make sure that the image is going to post, make sure that you use "Direct Link" from the image hosting website to make it work!

That's the best advice I have Smile I hope it all helps Smile

Thanks for that, I get the bit about 3rd party image sharing apps, but how do I get them into the photo section?

Click on "Quick Reply" just below here. On the row of icons above where you can enter text, the fourth or fifth from the right is the "insert image" link. You need to get the direct link for your image from the hosting site (and that varies) and then when you click on the insert image link you can past in the copied link into the URL box.

Ah, I get what you meant now lad!

I believe that you need to send a PM to either the administrator or any of the moderators to be able to host your photos in the "Content / Photos" section on Railpage

I apologize for the misleading information earlier, I was thinking that you wanted to post photos on a thread! But now re-reading your post obviously your asking how to add photos to the Content / Photos section, the best bet is to PM the admin or PM any of the helpful Mods here SmileSmile

Sorry for the misunderstanding!

I think you need a Flickr account and link that to Railpage. Something I tried to do ages ago, but couldn't get it to work.

You can post an image from anywhere, for the record.

Whether or not it appears in a card, is another thing entirely.

Hi.  If you are on flickr you can join the Railpage group on flickr.  Once this is approved and it does not take long (i do not administer this) you can then upload any images to flickr or you can use existing flickr images and tag that image to the Railpage group and the photos will appear in the front page.

In future build right now the mobile APP allows you to take images with the mobile device or take images from your device library and publish these to Railpage.  Once testing and implementation is completed those images will sit outside of flickr and will appear in the users photo gallery and if you follow the user you will get a notification of new photos from the followed on your device.  This will also be available for the web based service.

Images can also be tagged against an event you are attending.

No, I was not. It's been a long week, and I really didn't read the thread.

I will read the threads before posting.

I am talking about how to get images into that section of the site.

S3 is talking about forum posts and image insertion by way of the IMG tag.
