Just one problem with trying to use these here, 3'6" is their gauge great for Queensland (anything Japanese that's standard gauge is either for the Shinkansen or export to the US). Nice looking interior though.

Happily, the cost of manufacturing 1600mm bogies for them would be offset by not needing the original spec 1067mm bogies included in the purchase.

In fact, if given the green light today I bet they could have a 1600mm prototype through testing of vehicle dynamics and ready for production well before the first standard gauge VLocity ever turns a wheel.

The loading gauge would be a far bigger problem.
