Around here we all seem to talk about the slummy railway station but not the good one.

My nomination for the Best Railway Station is Roma St in Brisbane.

Cheers

There is only one way any building or object or structure could collapse strait down. You would have to remove the resistence below it.
The force of the building pushing up is greater than that of the part of the building falling down.

I cant say just one but I'll list a few

When the construction is finished - old Spencer st will look amazing - it will resemble an airport with wavy roof and light bright spaces - I personally think it will be the jewel in the crown of rail travel for this century

Adelaide station deserves a mention as it is like a small grand central station in NYC (it was based on GSC)

Central in Sydney is still lovely

Cootamundra is a fabulous old station - still retains a sense of the grand old days of train travel

Flinders Street is getting better (now they need to fix the Elizabeth underpass and it will be complete)

I must say I have great memories of Daglish and Claremont stations (perth)as a kid - and I hear they still have retaineds their charm

oh and one more - Auburn station - its now my local station and it is not only well kept and hardly any graffiti - it like an elevated station from the days of the 'El' found in NYC and Chicago

ok back to reality..

Regards
B
