Hi all,
I'm currently makin a Msts route loosely based on the old railway line to Mansfield. I hope to have it all the way to Tallarook including the Alexandra branch. I 've got some good maps and also bought the country branch lines pictorial which has some great photos, but i need some gradient charts to make it more realistic.
If anybody can email me any yard diagrams or grade charts for this area it would be most appreciated.
Cheers, G-513

That looks great. Maybe you could do to this a similar track skin to the one used for the Daylesford line in TRS2004 with ovr grown tracks for use with the latr rolling stock.

I once made an object as an experiment to simulate overgrown tracks. It's like a big square of 3D grass that you add with the auto add gantry feature. If you like I can send it to you.

Working on one as we speak. It is taking longer than expected. V.1 will feature the line from Maldon to Muckleford. V.2 will cover the entire line from Maldon to Castlemaine Smile

BTW, thats some excellent work on that branch G-513. You have been busy! Very Happy

Looks great and all but it would look a whole lot more better with a couple of old weathered VR steam loco's like a K, J or even D3 ect. Anyone modeling any VR Steamers at the moment?

Try here: http://www.railpage.com.au/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=11066&start=0
There's pics on both pages.

Also do a search under class names, there's a few topics in the MSTS forums here and there.

Just a suggestion, try using semaphore signals Wink I think theres a GWR pack available somewhere. Talk to Craig, he uses em.

EDIT: Where did you get that cattle yard? I could use an aus version in my route..

Do you have access to or heard of Andrew Hinde's chart and diagrams of the "History of the Mansfield and Alexandra railway Lines" , 1985. It contains most of the things you are looking for: Yard schematics of all the stations, a map of the route, and a 1927 diagram of gradients and curves. I bought this years ago when it was available commercially. I was told that it was a project of the authors to qualify as a cartographer
