Yes, the sky pollution gave it away. I'd say on the industrial spur just south of where the line becomes single track between Ardeer and Deer Park. Since when have NRs been broad gauge may I ask?

That's right. The ICI siding. The NR got a quick bogie exchange at Balranald after sneaking onto the system through the back door. Laughing

That siding doesnt exist anymore does it?

I've got no idea if the siding is still there or not. You've probably got a better chance of an answer in the Vic forum. Some body there will know for sure.

Thanks anyway Dusty, I'll give the Melbourne Suburban Forum a go, although I believe this siding was ripped up as ICI no longer exist (land now owned by Orica Limited and Huntsman Polyurethane) and the land where the siding was is cut off from Orica by the Western Ring Road.

Even if it no longer exists, its nice to see it lives on with MSTS Smile

I'm not sure how to make the screenie appear so here is the link in which already happened to be quite visible in this thread before this little chit chat found it

I never thought this was much of a brainbuster Rolling Eyes .

I'm throwing this over if anyone wants to continue this thread. It's a siding in the cobwebs of the John Darlington Colliery yard on the Belmont Branch (CTN4).
