Hi all,

I haven't forgotten about the Hitachis, I've just had to deal with the fact that I have a busy life outside MSTS and the PC. I've had calls at midnight some nights, and I have to respond whenever I'm called, so I can't plan to have hours of fun on the computer. Anyway, I obtained plans thanks to the help of Ian and Yuri, so I've now made sure that the cars are dimensionally accurate. I've added alot of minor detail, although I'm still not overly happy with the front skin. More work to do. I've also started the internal .s file, and it'll be a slow progress, so please don't start asking about release dates. Here are some screens, more to come soon.

Cheers,
Matt Austin

PTCFan, please don't publicly insult me then say 'it's a joke'. I thought I told everyone the reasons for my delays, and your comment is unnecessarily rude. It'll be ready when it's ready. I'm not releasing it until I'm happy with it, and that is why I didn't send it out months ago. TMS is cheaper than ever now, and some new modellers would be most welcome. Modellers work at different speeds. We've all been spoilt by the incredible output and high quality that James has shown us, some of us are not in his league and work alot slower. His E cars were done in days, my W cars took months. Such is life. Anyway, I'm having great fun with the Hitachis as they are, running on various electrified routes (thanks Ian & Russell), and that's what it's all about.

Cheers,
Matt

here here, just be greatful that it is being done at all, and anyway, matt can just say that he won't release it any time he wants, no matter how many want it.

Latest progress. Ian, Russell and Yuri have been helping me with information, ideas and suggestions as to improve the set. The body details are getting close, with mainly bogie and underfloor details remaining. Multiple numbers will be available, but that's the least of my worries at the moment. I'm going up to Coolac (45 mins from here) to have a look over the trailer in the paddock (alot easier than the 500km to Melbourne) and I'm looking for interior shots to be used for texturing purposes of the dedicated interior .s file.

Cheers,
Matt A
