SEM sold a very small number at the Hobsons Bay exhibiiton earlier this year. AFAIK it's not part of their normal range. I'm guessing it's because the fret also contains quite a few components for the loco.

If he sells more of them at the next exhibition, it's well worth buying. As you can see it's a rather interesting model. Smile

It might also have a bit to do with the fact that the greater percentage of orders for theJ class have been coal burners, therefore oil tenders are a little bit on the surplus side.

And yes, there will be a limited number available at Caulfield.

Nice work with those models James. Just one query, I noticed you have a BP 4 wheel tank wagon in the background. What model did you use to make that, or is it mostly scratchbuilt?

The BP tank is a scratchbuilt model (it's actually one that my father built). Unfortunately there are no victorian oil tanks available as kits.

While at the Sunshine exhibition today I bought myself a SEM WT kit:

I won't be starting it for a while though, gotta get my other projects out of the way first. Smile

It's a good kit. Looks great once finished. Mine isn't quite finished, but it has been primed ready for wagon red painting. I need a new airbrush however.

Just a few pics of my latest wagons. Hanovale RCWF's that I built as a pre release model to check Mr Hanovale's castings pending their release.
Well, I can say that while these kits aren't for the beginner, and do have a lot of parts, but the time taken to build them results in a very nice and accurate model. And when they are released, I reccomend them thoroughly for anyone modelling an NR/PN steel train!

The first completed RCWF, taken on the club layout.

And a couple of pics of the painted one with the 2nd wagon about to be painted, taken on my garden track.
