Gday all
Just wishing to let you know that over the past couple of days, i have uploaded a hell of a lot of pictures of QLD trains (mainly QR, but there's also a couple PN and other ring-in's)
If you would like to have a peek, they're in the "Newly Added Photo's" folder in my user gallery on this site. (Petey3801's NSW and QLD photo's).
The direct link to these photo's is http://www.railpage.com.au/modules.php?set_albumName=July-2004&name=gallery&include=view_album.php&page=1 , but there are also a few other QLD photo's in other folders within my user gallery.
Some of the photo's aren't of the best quality, but them things happen. Some of them aint too bad as well, but thats just my opinion.
Keep your eye's peeled, as there will soon be more uploaded in a little while, as in the past week or 2, and in the next couple weeks, i have been and will be doing a lot of "gunzelling" around Brissy.

Comments and constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated Smile

Thanks for your time! Hope you enjoy my photo's and the ones that are still to come!!!

Thanks, Pete.

Heheh, thanks all for the comments Very Happy
In answer to the ICE question Mickelaar, MichaelJ and myself were both up at Caboolture a week or so back, and we were just talking to the driver of the SMU that we were to take back into Brissy (as well as asking for some shots inside the cab) when the ICE pulled up on the other side of the platform (P3), and the driver of our SMU asked the driver of the ICE if we could go in and take some pics, and he agreed, and actually told us to have a sit in the driver's seat and take a pic of eachother!
We were (understandably) rather happy with that proposition! Very Happy hehehe.

I shall hopefully be getting out with the camera again today and possibly sunday/monday if i can, so there may be another update in my gallery within the next week or 2... i'll keep ya's posted Smile

P.S: As i said before, there are some pics on the lower end of the scale, and some that are very badly backlit, (ie: pic of EMU34), but they were some of the one's that i just wanted to put in cause i liked them! hehe. Especially EMU34, i wanted to put that one in, cause i dont think it'll ever be that clean and shiny again in its life!

Thanks, Pete.

Hahahaha, and to top it off, ive lived in QLD for a whole 1.5 months!
Thanks must go to MichaelJ however, as, without him up there with me at Caboolture, that picture would have never come to pass! (especially since he was the one that took the pic!, but he was the one that got things goin that leaded to the pic!) (btw, ive got one of him sitting in that exact same seat!)
Ive also got a picture of myself sitting in an EMU driver's seat, a picture that the driver himself took for me! Very Happy

Thanks, Pete.

I shall put the pic of MichaelJ in the ICE cab up in my gallery tomorrow, as well as the one of me in the EMU. Would do it tonight, but i have to be up at 6.30am in the morning, and the upload to Railpage Australia™ isnt exactly lightning speed, so yeah, i'll have them up tomorrow afternoon, and shall report on this here thread when they're up!
Until then, enjoy, and happy train-spotting! Very Happy

Thanks, Pete.

I have uploaded the picture of myself sitting in the seat of EMU88 while at Shorncliffe. It is on the 3rd page of my "Newly Added Photo's" folder. (the link of which is in my original post on this thread).
I have not added the picture of Michael into my folder as of yet, as i am yet to have asked his permission. I would say that he will most likely upload it into his new Railpage Australia™ folder in the next couple days, instead of me doing it Smile

Thanks, Pete.

Nice pics the petey3801. i am jealous that u got to sit in the cab of an ICE! You and MJ are right, asking gets u somewhere, and there is no harm in it aswell. Wat is up with 151? it has one of those (IMHO) horrible square window fronts on it now, instead of the beautiful smooth rounded ones! new paint job looks good though!

Thankya xplorer2501!
I'm with you on the looks of recently refurbished ICE151. Im not exactly fond of the square type windows, i much rather the smooth curve of the older windows. It just has a more flowing effect, whereas the square windows on the front sorta spoil the look of the flowing cab. It just juts out too much for my liking, but hey, every one to their own. Thats just my opinion on the looks of the new windows.
I also think the new paint job is good! nice and shiny! (for a little while at least......)

Thanks, Pete.

NIce shot there!!

I must comment on the yellow arm rests. I am definal\tely not a fan! Yeah, they're high vis & 'brighten' the cabin up, but they look so out of place on a majority maroon backdrop. Maybe a light grey could have been used to match the rest of the contrast.

Cheers

Mick
