It's a much simpler mix I'm after. Very Happy

I think this looks very much like ATHLONE.

Valvegear hits a six. Or catches the one I tried to hit. Forgot I was batting. Embarassed

Athlone it is. Athlone is a mix (anagram) of the word ethanol.

OK; B 67 is out after a courageous innings.

The new clue is, " Essential for bowler."

I think that we have run cricket puns before, but 'bowler' may come from a different sport.

Not Armytage.

I won't make any other comment yet; we'll see what a few others may deduce.

Lawnton, Woodlawn and Launceston are interstate; Lorne never had a VR line.
I was going to enter Greenlane, but that is Auckland (NZ). The station which I had misremembered, and will enter: Green Hill.

Not Ballbank or Green Hill.

I think I will let this go for this morning, then add a clue if nobody has it.

OK - time for a hint.

I have to confess a certain degree of malice aforethought here.

B67 and I had a cricket theme running, so a question with a bowler seemed to fit, BUT, the bowler in the question is inanimate !

A red tick and an elephant stamp for Roderick.

A Brim is an essential part of a bowler hat.
