The name says it all...
Following on from the Melboune Suburban Thread of the same character.
Rules:
May be any Station or Signal Box within Victoria.
May be located on a closed line.
One Answer per question, with no multiple answers contained in the answer. Further Answers are pemitted after previous answers are declared incorrect.
One Point for each correct answer is awarded.
If no correct answers are received, then further clues may be given, cryptic...of course.
If no correct answer is received at all then the person setting the clue will receive the 1 point.
Let's see if there is any support for this or will it be as popular as Mornington Crescent!
The first clue:
Timber Stop

This might be stretching the "station or signal box" thing a bit, but...
State Mine (nr. Wonthaggi)

State Mine is correct. I didn't think that anything was being stretched - in 1965 or so I spent an enjoyable hour in the signal box there after riding in the cab of a J class on the roadside goods.
You question JoM

I didn't realise that there was a State Mine signal box. That's fair enough then.
My question...
Entertainer heading east

Love a good cryptic conundrum.
Off the top of my head, I can only think of:
Quambatook

No to Quambatook (and could you explain how you thought it fitted?).

No, not Dawson (whoever that represents).
The entertainer concerned was quite popular about 60 years ago. (And no, I don't remember him; I'm not that old. But I've read about him.)

If I am permitted another go..
60 years ago, and east, hmm, the only thing I can come up with is somewhere in Dame Nellie territory:
Yarra Glen

No, not Yarra Glen.
Sometimes I think that there is a very fine line between too easy and too hard.
I'll give one more clue and then the point will go to me because nobody got a correct answer (if nobody does after this clue).
The entertainer's first name was Roy (but Roy is not part of the answer).

I guess you mean Roy Rene, who used the named Mo McCacky when performing. In which case I might guess Moe
