Hey

I have a question - I know its probably been covered before, but can you convert ms trainsim models into trainz 2004?? There is only one model i would love to convert, for my own use only- The main reason i am thinking about this is i saw chris jennings NSW comengs and M set on the download station, and theyre the same models as available in msts.

If it is possible and if someone could help me out i would be so grateful!! Laughing Laughing

Oh and its NOT the model in my avatar Wink

Apparently there's a new exporter coming for 3DCanvas -> .IM files.

Search for posts by decapod in the Auran forums.

Cache Ya,
Craig.

No, There are no importers available for public use that will import either file type for TRS2004 or MSTS.

If you have the model file in its original format you can export into either MSTS or TRS if you use the relevant conversion package for either programme with either Gmax or 3DC. What we're talking about here is the premise of people reverse engineering a model from its already converted format and then re-converting it into another format again for use in MSTS/TRS which cannot be publically done.

Ethically it should not even be attempted without the original authors permission and only then they should be the ones doing it not another third party.
