Just dropping by to ask if there are any of these 3D programs that export
to .dxf or Autocad ?
I'm thinking about compatibility so I could make a model in XXX program but still be able to use it to make HO or 7 & 1.4 parts in the "real world",
or go the other way. I am not interested in stealing existing models for this ( just lazy enough to want to do both).
( a .dxf file can provide the templete and can be lasercut making metal parts easy to produce )
Regards,

i think that 3d canvas will export and import dxf and 3ds files.
to do it in tsm you will need the commercial version which at last count was something like us$350.
in 3d canvas you will also need the add-on plugins and msts exporter.
cheers

Yes, 3D Canvas Pro will export in about 15 different formats if you buy the PRO or LP versions. The cost is about $50 and well worth having.

Thanks, I were hoping that 3D Canvas might do it. I have TSM now, but haven't started playing with it. When it comes time to see if I want to convert to .dxf , I know what program to get.
