when will this route be released |
Can't you read? As Russell and Ian have said many times before, it will be released when it's finished. I reckon it should be made payware, just to p*ss off all the people that keep bloody asking when it will be released and were expecting to get it for free. IMO, it's better than some of the US payware routes.

mainline continues out to windemere and branch for mildura line goes a few km.
cheers |
Anybody got plans to build it out to Ararat/ or some of the way to mildura. |
It's allready a two or so hour long drive from Bunbry St Tunnel to Ballarat, extending it to Ararat would make it at least 3 hours, maybe 3 and a half. How many people would be willing to sit infront of their computer for 3 and a half hours?

I would. I got to Windemere and the track ran out. Anyway, Russell has already done a fantastic job on Footscray - Ballarat and deserves a well earned rest.

What I've seen of it. It is very good. Cowie is right it does look better than US pay routes. I would pay for it, because it is very good.
Cheers,
Tom

James, I have some screenshots you might be interested in. PM me if you want to follow it up.
But getting back on topic, I'd love to drive the line from Totty to Ararat. *drools*....
One thing I have noticed, is a profound lack of gunzels along the route.
Must be Grand Final day

There's plenty of gunzels, they're just shy creatures! I'll attach some screens tomorrow. Here is a screen, in Ballarat yards...
Cheers,
Matt

Just out of interest, is the track, yard layouts etc based upon any particular era?

Mid to late 80's I think
Matt, those pics are looking great! And the bloke on the Ball East footbridge is the only gunzel I've seen throughout the whole route. Oh well, at least I now have a reason to go back into the sim and take a closer look
