Nah, the train was just going slow Mr. Green

Without breaking road laws, I think the most number of shots you can get around that area in real life is three Razz

Start near Rowsley:

Drive straight across the other side of the curve and up Dog Trap Gully Rd to the bridge:

Overtake the train and photograph it at Bank Box Loop:

It went to Ballarat in 2000 and emerged in 2001 as a Super R. Shortly after re-entering service, it had a massive failure of the connecting rods (IIRC on the drivers side). It has since been repaired, but is currently at Ballarat East and hasn't been used all year.

The tour that R766 was on in the photographs was a Steamrail tour to Ballarat. It was R766's first run as a "Super R" and was used due to the high fire danger at the time. Cool

I think this line should be released on CD and have a small charge to cover the time you guys have spent on it and let you buy a few beers as a self reward. Looking at the screen shots I would be happy to pay for it. I love it.

does that mean that when Andrew get to Footscray with his met routes, he would need to make it look the same as yours Russel?

No of course not!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Andrew can do whatever he likes! and Andrew's graphics are more 'modern based' as russells are not based in the current era. If u know msts the routes cannot be linked therefore it doesnt matter whos looks like what! and besides as Andrew has stated alot of times he is working on his route stage by stage and seeng as where he is at the moment it will be quite a while until he gets to the city yet alone out footscray way. And ALSO do u realise how big the file size would be for the route from lilydale/ belgrave to the city with FULL scenery and then out to footscray yet alone anywhere else?!!?!? He has also stated that it may be limited to each line.

Basically so u understand K163, you should be asking if your steam model should look like R711 or any other msts based loco as opposed to creating your OWN design/ model.

Do we really need those sort of posts?????
