Xtracks and NewRoads are now mirrored at the steam4me site.

Xtracks and NewRoads are now mirrored at the steam4me site.

Latest versions of Xtracks: 3.16
Latest version of NewRoads: 3.2

Download these from the Route page at my site (click on "Routes" on right side in Permanent Content) without the tedious log-in procedures in place at many overseas sites.

There are four main files:

1. Xtracks / NewRoads for the EndUser: presented as a no-fuss, simple-to-use self-installer (~5MB).
Xtracks3_16_EndUser_MSTS1_Setup.exe -- 10.0 MB (10,518,555 bytes)
NewRoads32s_EndUser_MSTS1_Setup.exe -- (3.7MB = 3,879,688 bytes) or
NewRds32_EndUser_MSTS1_Setup.exe (3.7MB = 3,784,766 bytes)

Features of this installer:
(i) The installer is a Qsetup installer;

(ii) It will try to find the MSTS folder from your registry - it reads only, it DOES NOT WRITE TO THE REGISTRY;

(iii) This installer will check existing files on your hard drive: IT WILL NOT OVER-WRITE existing files on your system that have a newer date stamp.

2. Xtracks / NewRoads for the EndUser: presented as a ZIP file for those of you who like the tedium, fiddliness and control of a ZIP file.

newroads.zip 4.12 MB (4,321,923 bytes) or
newrds.zip 4.10 MB (4,309,474 bytes)

3. Xtracks / NewRoads for the Route Builder: presented as a ZIP file (if you build routes, you're accustomed to tedium, fiddliness and control).

rdsrbkna.zip (21,450,688 bytes) (US roads)

4. Xtracks Reference Route: presented as a ZIP file and designed for route builders, this route will demonstrate the use of the many shapes that make up Xtracks.

Both will install tsection.dat build 38 unles you already have a newer version installed.
