I would use it as is, seriously Cool

James what era is your skin of GM25, check digit is very recent

Eg the model with the MU socket covers removed, extra marker lights and fan covers would have check digit, eg GM42/43 as is now

Yellow bogies for early AN repaints (Some GMs and 930s had yellow at the time, ahh the old days ........) most likely used for PR purposes.

Yellow bogies get dirty quick

http://www.railpage.org.au/comrails/common/s06108.html < gm23 but with black trucks, ive got one somewhere with yellow

EDIT: Intresting rear profile on the Dyanmic equiped models

I'm not sure when GM25 got the check digit, but there are photos of them in the AMRM article (April 97 issue) that show check digits in 1987. I know rolling stock got the check digits in Victoria in the early 1980's.

Just a quick note, Over the next few days, I'll be updating the photos section of my site with images from the Kinder trains last year, a number of various diesel photos and the photos from the Elecrail trip on 18/1. After I do all this, I'll get back to the MSTS models! Cool

Hi all,

I've been working on an Australian National GM. This is a typical GM of the 1980's before modificatons such as MU connections, covers over the fans, extra marker lights, etc... were added. I'll do that version later Smile

BTW, this skin is suprisingly difficult. MSTS doesn't seem to like the AN shade of green on Alpha textures so it is very difficult to get the details to look good. The two parallel lines also distort easily on the cowcatcher and I still have to fix this up. Sad

Hi all,

I've now finished updating the photos on my web site, so I've been finishing off the textures for the AN GM today. I'll probably release it in the next day or so. Cool It will include two versions. GM25 in the AN green and gold livery and GM27 in the ANR variation of the CR maroon & silver livery. Shocked Very Happy

Hi all,

The AN GM's are now available on my site! Very Happy

Now, I'll do a 1990's version with the covers over the fans and other modifications.
