Sorry if i've missed something but where can the Coals To Newcastle be downloaded from?

What file name if it's on train-sim.com?

Thanks in advance

Lionel.

Has anyone tried to apply A1 traffic to this new route. I made an activity with an S class & 3 end platform cars out of Toronto to Newcastle.Activity runs without problem but cannot add passing traffic----when I go into traffic path editor & type path names I get a warning & will not set up a traffic path, hope someone can help . I have set up passing moving traffic on the Blue Mountains route without problems,e.g. 6 car XPT passing double 49's on domestic wheat & passing 42class & HUB Set in same activity.

I had the same problem when I tried to add moving traffic.

No luck.

The "Traffic" folder maybe missing from the route. Check the folder types against a default route.

Good catch, Peter - thank you.

The installer omits folders that are empty. The same "error" has occurred with my installer for "Mornington Railway Route".

I'll redo the installers and place a "blank.fil" in the Traffic folder, ensuring it's picked up.

The fix (for others reading this thread) is in Explorer - go to your Routes/route.name folder and Click File | New | Folder | Name "New Folder" "Traffic" | Click "ok".

Another problem that all you route builders may be able to fix , when you start with explore the route out of Wyong the game starts in the middle of a paddock with no rail line & very little of the train viewable, you can chug out of this location back onto visable tracks .
The Main Problem is as follows--in the explore a route with a train running from Wyong toward Newcastle the game fails somewhere south of Fassifern, freezes & shuts train simulator down .

May I ask which version of the route you're running? The version on my site has this as the Wyong start point:

If I then drive in reverse for several minutes I arrive here

What consist are you running when the route falls over at Fassifern? We thought this problem had been fixed for the Steam4me version, but I occasionally (= non-repeatably) get a loss of video approaching Fassifern from Toronto.

There is a problem with a signal clearing south of Fassifern when creating activities.

G'day Yuri,
Answers to your questions are as follows, The version I am running was down loaded from your site. The consist I have been operating is---50 class loco,4wheel guards van,14 non air coal hoppers,4 wheel guards van.
I have changed the train in the default as listed to use the railmotor as this gives more of a challenge & a good view from the drivers window , this also pulls up south of Fassifern.
I went into AE and ran a test & yes the default does start at Wyong station but STOPS at the Distant Signal for Fassifern station ,but I don't know how to fix this.
The explore a route starts in a paddock like your second photo but with the train facing Wyong & I can see the rails ahead & the explore a route ends in the same location & shuts the game down.

The signal on the Down line @ Fassifern (LHS when facing north) appears to be "stuck @ stop". The best way to fix it is to go into RE and then select the red tab on the track at the base of the signal and move it south (towards Awaba) about 10 metres. Then save the route and exit. This should allow it to unstick.

G'day Peter,
I had not used Route editor before so this was a big learning curve,I eventually located Fassifern on the screen, found the red box between the rails & moved it South by about 50 metres. This has fixed the sticking problem & I can drive through to Newcastle. Thanks for your help in repairing this game because with it being new it has lots of scope for building activities & adding our own A1 traffic.
Regards, Old_C_38
