Above platforms 5&6, on the same level as 3 & 4. They are used as a carpark for the hotel above. From memory, there is an unmarked exit door on the concourse which leads to them.

Platforms 1 and 2 used to be the tram platforms for the tram line that used to run across the harbour bridge. The trams used to terminate at these platforms.

I don't understand how the clue given related to the Hawkesbury River Bridge (at least any more than any other bridge) - I don't consider it small.
...Unless of course you mean the Hawkesbury River Bridge station/platforms...

Caught the Central Coast train on the weekend, and was keeping an eye out for the Hawkesbury River Bridge Station, caught a quick glimps of it.
How big is the platform, what is its history and what is it used for now? Do any trains stop at it?

the platfrom is about 1-1½ meters long
im not sure about the history of it but there were one on each side.
they use it if works are on the brige to get a train into cowan ect
rarely do they stop there
