hi
it's exactly the same here
look at the bull***t we are fed by the 2 channel kerries and channel 10
the abc and sbs aren't much better but at least they didn't believe Peter
Reith or little Johnny Coward's lies in the children overboard affair.
the same thing is happening all over again.
trouble is the govt. is running scared of the multi national conglomerates.
just remember nov 11 1975, Gough found out the hard way.

History repeats itself because nobody listened the first time.

In the 1930s it was widely held that heavy bombers could eliminate the human race. Then they tried it in WW2 and it was found (surprise surprise!) that there were actually defences that the bombers couldn't get through.

Why wouldn't it be the same for these things we all get so het up about?

This really is not a railway-related topic.
