this route has been available since the middle of dec 2002
it is downloaded from the authors website http://www3.turboweb.net.au/~petern

probably better waiting until monday as peter is uploading a major upgrade this week-end
you will need a couple of extra files to run route

i) Xtracks 3.4 to run this route - availible from www.train-sim.com (xtracks.zip)
ii) Asphalt Platforms - Graham Pitt - availible from www.uktrainsim.com (PlatformKitIV.zip)
iii) Gravel Roads - Martyn T. Griffin - availible from www.train-sim.com (grrdsv1.zip)
scenery isn't complete yet
the branch line from adamstown -belmont is 80% finished scenery wise
the rest is unscenicked at the moment
we are in the process of making the unique unbraked rolling stock
LCH,CCH,CHG for this route
hopefully they will be available after next week-end barring any hiccups
in the process
any questions either leave me a PM or you can email me at
gallop3@optusnet.com.au

cheers

Look, can we please keep this forum a friendly place? Craig has obviously put some effort into his route, and although it isn't perfect and it isn't finished, it is the first Victorian route out there. Cool Also Craig, NSW routes are still Australian routes. Razz

Hi folks,

Last night I downloaded the NSW Coal to Newcastle Route and installed it to the MSTS Routes Folder okay and ran the installme.bat
Installed Xtracks 3.4 which it requires and IS in correct places.
Start-up MSTS and this route FAILS to appear in the Route menu.
Any ideas, first time this has happened in 7 routes I've installed.

The only thing I did not do as yet was download and install:-
ii) Asphalt Platforms - Graham Pitt - available from www.uktrainsim.com (PlatformKitIV.zip)
iii) Gravel Roads - Martyn T. Griffin - available from www.train-sim.com (grrdsv1.zip)

Surely these 2 items would not prevent the Route from actually starting up at least, not that I know anything about route designing anyway.

I downloaded Gravel roads okay from TS, but that UKtrainsim has a limit and cannot download that Asphalt Platforms yet. Have to wait till after 10am today to try again. First time ever been to this site. Hmmmm...

Any ideas anyone.

I got one message saying Route is ready for upload, that's all

Blast, I did read that somewhere at TS Forum, OTD again (Old Timers Disease) That did not occur to me. I wonder why Peter did not include at least one Activity in his Route as I never struck this before, as all my routes I installed did have activities. Embarassed

Well I'll be buggered, never thought I would run into someone who knew the line. I sure do remember the briquette trains. We probably chatted from time to time. I came to the Mount in 1970. Not in loco, I was one of the Supervising Shunter's till 1992 till I baled out with voluntary redundancy. Saw the writing on the wall.

Email coming up.
