I have a feeling Port Waratah yard is going be causing a fair few problems when people end up running it.
There is a decent 3rd party candy 47 for Trainz, maybe the author would be willing to convert it for use on Belmont branch.
I have to speak my mind, I was impressed with the work done on the track/pointwork especially Warratah and the CTC signals, but it needs alot of work. That much track at such an early stage of construction is going to be a pain to change at later stages. Eg lengethening loops.
Then comes custom objects, (invidual stations, flyovers esp the Main @ Waratah, I forget the exact name, bridges, BHP, terrain textures, etc)
Good luck to the author.
I am still trying to make proper flyovers it is dificult.
My belief is the future is fictional or based-on routes. This model has been proven successful so far. The advantage with this is you can customise the route to your locale as much as you want without worrying about matching the prototype or route distribution size.
The succesful realistic routes have been portions of a real route not neccisilary from home terminal.

hi
most of us bought this sim in the first place to recreate prototypical
railways which with all the bugs in the code is a nightmare
everyone to their own
for me as an ex loco driver from vr and v/line i wouldn't even bother
with the sim if we couldn't replicate the routes accurately
that's why i threw trainz into the bin a complete waste of money unless you want to play with toys
once the node problem is addressed (kuju should have done this already
but i believe it will be the same old story.
fork out another 99 bucks for another error riddled program.
until they start employing people who have either been an enthusiast for years or worked on the job for years all we will get is another rushed product aiming at the big buck windfall not accuracy.)
cheers
ian
