Anyone care to comment on the "Train set" used on Neighbours last night ( monday 5th jan07) - the red LMS !!!! Apart fromthe overacting to "drive" the train it was fun to see. But it was a train set, not a model railway !

Sorry about the late notice.

On SBS at 6pm tonight - "Little Trains of the Gare de L'est"

To quote the Age's Green Guide - "Railway enthuiasts indulge in their hobby, miniature trains, at the famous Paris train station, Gare de L'est."

The Polar Express is on in Perth 7:30pm Saturday night [03/11]. I guess its probably on interstae at the same time. I know this movie is computer annimation and not real but it uses PM1255 as the model in the computer grahpics. The locomotive features as Santas locomotive in animation in the movie. That big Berkshire was the best steam locomotive I ever saw run hauling a fan trip of 30 coaches, doing most of the work with decective lead locomotive.

"Rain Shadow" on ABC-TV Sunday nights has had one or two scenes of trains passing through Monarto South as well as scenes of the town itself being very careful to film on the northern side of the crossing, not towards the Big W warehouse to the south of the crossing Smile

Junkyard wars - Scrapheap Mega Challenge - The Locomotives Special

Yes its UK series, but there are ways around that. I won't give away much about the episode, there are some real trains and stations in there.

There is a gunzle joke in there Wink
