Sadly 4401 wasn't on the train (presume it must have had problems). The train left Kingston with no. 2 end of 4486 leading. Stopped for about 40 minutes at Bungedore, waiting for coach connection. Shortly after leaving, X52, X53 turned up with the petrol tankers. Petrol train stopped at Bungedore and removed side panels from X52 (leading) and revved engines for some time. Not sure what the problem was. At Goulbourn, the 3801 tour was closely followed by NY2 (NR48?, NRxx), then a down city-rail service pulled in and stayed on the no.1 platform for about 40 minutes. During this time X52, X53 with the petrol train pulled up and waited; also a down empty grain with 8179, 81xx came through. The City Rail service departed (up) followed by petrol train.
