As a QR fan, I do take notice of the type of locos in use in Tassie. Quite a heavy QR influence down there, ex 1300, 1502, 1460 and EE 2350/2370 locomotives. Also the old Walkers diesel hydraulic hauled trains down there, quite a site seeing all those shunters at the head of those paper trains.

With regard to the Walkers Diesel Hydraulics, I gather you are referring to the Emu Bay Railway 11 Class Locomotives. They never hauled the Paper Train as they worked only on the Melba Line between Burnie and Roseberry. They were withdrawn and stored in 2002. THey weren't actually ex QR engines as they were specifically built for the Emu Bay Railway by Walkers Ltd.
