Welcome to the Railpage Australia™ Forums Mornington Crescent Club.

For those unfamiliar with the game and its rules, watch closely and all will soon become clear.

The main reason for creating a separate forum for this is so the old games don't get pruned in The Lounge.

Cheers
David

I have been watching closely, and the only thing that has become clear is that there are no rules, as per There are no rules to Mornington Crescent. If I am wrong, then I need it spelled out to me.

Huh? You mean that the games are worth saving?

Watch and the rules will soon become apparent. MC can't really be played on the Melbourne network because it's purely radial, although I understand the rules are being adapted for the tram network.

But considering that it was started by Eldon Hogan in 1942 and he has since died, I wouldn't go holding my breath.

I know that Rod Smith offered to do it in his spare time, but since when has Rod ever had any spare time?

He seems to find enough time to visit plenty of shows on stage. And consume the occasional bunch of grapes (red ones, in a bottle, with a cork).

Despite me pointing out before that there are no rules to Mornington Crescent, there is one rule:
Keep claiming that there are rules, but never actually quote them.
A perusal of the topics here will bear this out, as will any responses to this message that claim there are rules.

Watch out there "Confused" of Melbourne - the Penalty Committee often hands out 15 token penalties and two minutes suspension for statements like that!

Just to clarify matters a little bit more for everyone, please note that -

There is no Cabal - (hereafter abbreviated to TINC.)

There is no Cabal, the Cabal did NOT meet in Sydney last night and the rules were NOT discussed.

The Cabal is NOT meeting on the Newcastle Flyer tour, the meeting is NOT adjourning to a hotel near Newcastle Station for luncheon and drinks and the rules will NOT be discussed.

If this is not clear, remember that the answer to most questions will be -

TINC

Hi Everyone,
I've just read this forum and I'm a bit interested. Could someone please tell me what this game is about, how to play it and where to go to play it.
Thanks
Ben

There are already several threads about the rules. Best way is to follow some active games and all will become clear.

Cheers
David
